“My work is steady presence — and helping a family feel held, not handled.”
◆ VSED stance: Supports VSED, extensive experience
How I work
I start with a gentle first conversation — no commitment. From there I help families build a calm plan: who’s at the bedside and when, how we talk with hospice, what comfort care looks like day to day. I’m present in person for key moments and reachable by phone in between.
What I do
- · Plain-language guidance through VSED
- · Build & coordinate a 24/7 caregiver team
- · Bedside vigil and family support
- · Help with documents and conversations
- · Leave-taking rituals and grief support
What I don’t do
- · Medical care or medication
- · Clinician-only forms (POLST/MOLST)
- · Replace hospice or your physician
- · Make legal or financial decisions
Training & affiliations
- INELDA-trained
- NEDA member
- 12+ VSED journeys
